Then yes , I took about a month break to do something else that I thought was important too , but I cannot stay away from carving for to long ! then , let's go back to work ! :) ...

Beech Wood Handle . Foldable pruning knife , or Boline . Hand carved . Inspired by Contentinental celtic design , from 4th century BC , also call "La Tene" style. To me this symbol cerved on the handle is Dana , The Mother of all Gods . The head is more an expression that a humanisation of a Goddess , she smiles and Close her Eyes in kindness as she gives her blessing for respectful Harvests .
Opinel is well know knife company from France , good quality stainless steel blades , foldable , easy to carry around and safe . A beautiful tool for gardening or for all sacred Harvests .
the size of the handle 4 inches and half , when unfold the knife is 8 and half inches long and well curved . Size 10.
The finish is totally organic , Mineral oil , essential oil , and bee wax only . It will require a certain maintenance , nourishing the wood with a bee wax sometimes is highly recommended .

A little while before I went there, the wild woman spirit came around me, she poked at me ! I carved a pruning knife cause of her and when I got back from the woods , I worked immediately at a new Drum design with a strong intent to honour Her.
When she comes, it often means that ... Some changes are coming my way ...
Here is the Knife :
( More description on Wiz Art etsy shop :
also on Wiz Art's face book page , come and join !
and some pics of the Drum's design , work in progress ...
I work first on paper to be able to explore more colours and shapes .. I sometimes do few versions of one design before I get to the best one for the drum. A lot of work ahead , but so much fun too ! :)
This "leafs" design is inspired by a ceramic piece from the 4th century BC , discovered in St Pol de Leon, Brittany, I was born not very far from there ! ! ;) ...
That's Fresh news !! Have a great day !

Finally it took a knife , more a boline to accept this beautiful style not very well known but which deserves a great deal of interest... I will be exploring this style a bit deeper in the near future.
This knife is already Sold, and is going to great people that are gardening a lot and here in Oklahoma. It is actually a birthday present from a lovely wife to her husband! :)

The Dark colour of Walnut wood is very attractive of carving organic , even abstract organic designs.
