OONA GWELLOC"H

Spirit of Beith , pin and pendant ( birch wood)

As a pendant or/ and a pin in wool ... I wore it as a pendant and then used it as a pin to my wool neck warmer. Birch wood was very nice to carve , only my second piece in Birch, but something tells me that I'm only starting my own tale with this wood ! :)

Made in Brittany

All most two moons I'm Home! and My mother Land is giving , inspiring, I never been that well with my work and my all being, finally in total harmony in my surrounding on the Land of my ancestors, but also so close to the other worlds at the shores near the western Islands , seeing them in the mists in the Great Celtic sea if more that I could ever expect ! :) Every morning I walk to the Sunrise , I salute the beauty of the day coming, as I go on the shores at low tide , where the sea is in an other part of the day. I meet there the ancient spirits and they whispered to me . Here came first the ancient spirits of the Morriganez , the mermaids people , spirits of the sea here in Brittany and especially to the western shores. The sea at low tide is a giving field to harvest everyday , the pruning knife was inspired by the ancient spirits of the Morriganez that I saw there. Soon after , in a powerful fashion , this Ash pendant came to me, in reverence for the Pagan princess of the Town on Ys, named Dahut . To my senses she talks the old ways , the Love of Life. More than a Myth , she is the powerful feminine spirit of the sea of these shores. In third came the Wild spirit of the Land , Cernunnos ! and how powerful he is right now, The Spring season is bubbling of Sap everywhere , in everything , even in my own veins ! during the day when the Tide is up , I see him in the wilderness , King of the season ! It is in Yew that I was told to carve it ... Then ... Wiz Art Studio is settling well in Brittany, gifted by the Awen on my Mother Land and shores . Blessing to all ... I'd say a Truth : There is nothing like to be HOME ! :)

On my way Home

Just a quick up date , Wiz Art studio is in the process of a major relocation , we are heading back home , to Brittany . I closed the etsy shop for the time being. We will need a little time to re-organise the studio, but also to re-connect to our Celtic Mother land.

Then Please stay tuned , I will try my best to give up dates on the situation and let our followers know how it is going !

What I can tell you for now, is that we are moving back to the Village of my childhood, on a little peninsula on the North west cost of Brittany, call Carantec or in Breton Karanteg.
I'm sure that this location will inspired my work, bringing me even closer to my Celtic roots .

As we said in Breton : "Kenavo, Ar Vechal" , " Goodbye and see you soon "
